Usage Note 18705: Linking to a relational report from a report built from a SAS OLAP cube
might not behave as expected in SAS Web Report Studio
When linking to a relational report from a report built from a SAS Olap
Cube, the linking may not behave as expected in SAS Web Report Studio.
If the OLAP map allows drill-through to detail data, selecting a cell
link displays the cell value twice in a dropdown list. If you select the
first value, a window will display showing the prompt selection lists
for any of the prompts in effect for the target report. If you select
the second value, the detail data from the base table for the OLAP cube
will display. To pass the correct prompt values to the target report,
without first displaying the prompt lists, you will need to drill down
to the lowest level, and then select a cell link.
If the OLAP map does not allow 'drill through to detail data', then
selecting a cell link will display the prompt lists for any of the
prompts in effect for the target report. To display the target report,
without first displaying the prompt lists, drill down to the lowest
level, and then select a cell link.
To successfully set up the linking to behave as described above, you
should have prompts in the target report that correspond to the lowest
drill level for each dimension in the OLAP report. For example, for
Year-->Quarter-->Month, define a prompt list for Month.
